Writing Wrongs

June 22, 2005

I promised, didnt I? I have absolute proof my kids do not in any way resemble my manuscripts, and therefore, said manuscript should not be referred to as word babies.

The kids.

Manuscript pages. Please note the consistent twenty five lines per page formatting.

So you can see why Im so seldom confused. I havent once stuck my kids into a priority mailer. Ive never tried to feed Sponge Bob Mac n Cheese to my manuscripts.

And enough of that. On a later date, Ill have to expound on how I dislike it when writers (while critiquing) shorten manuscript to script and paragraph to graph. I mean, really. Are those four extra letters that taxing to type? But for now, my work is done here.
