Writing Wrongs

April 07, 2006

So, is everyone else still suffering from daylight saving time, or is it just me? Its been a long week. A really long week. Im looking forward to what Kyra calls a long day at home after such a long week. It hasnt been bad, just long.

In fact, you know its been a long week, when:

Youre a little too excited about afternoon popcorn duty at work. Oh, the responsibility of being a fulltime employee.

Your three-year-old wants to attach her Little Tike chair to her Little Tike car, with scotch tape (so baby can come along), and it looks like a reasonable idea to you.

Spam makes an appearance on your dinner table. And you like it.

You misread the headline as: Bush picks Pontius Pilate as FEMA chief. (What? You think that couldnt happen?)

You get a kick walking through the skyway to your new contract parking spot because its raining and you stay dry.

The green tea latte at Starbucks doesnt seem as misguided a notion as it did last week.

You order a green tea latte at Starbucks.

You live to regret it.

You decide to go with the coffee instead.

The extra caffeine still doesnt help. As noted: when on afternoon popcorn duty, remember to turn on the kettle motor. Otherwise, youll need to find a place to hide the evidence.
